Name:  Micaceous Sandstone (Brownstone)
Geologic Name:  Longmeadow Sandstone

Microscopic characters:  Clastic texture.  The rock consists of rounded or sub-
angular grains of quartz, orthoclase and acid plagioclase, flakes of muscovite
and biotite, grains of fresh hornblende, brown tourmaline, zircon and garnet.
There is a small amount of chlorite and calcite occurs in patches.  Ferruginous
cement surrounds the grains.
